Privacy Policy
01 Introduction
Budget Nudge ("Budget Nudge," "we," "us," or "our") is a personal finance and expense-tracking application designed to help users record, organize, understand, and improve their financial habits. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, protect, and disclose information when you use Budget Nudge and related services (the "Service").
By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy. Where applicable law requires consent, we will obtain the consent required for the relevant processing activity.

Profile and onboarding information. We may collect financial goals, milestones, budgeting preferences, and other information you choose to provide.
Transaction information. For manually recorded transactions, we may collect amounts, transaction type, category, date, title/description, notes, and related information.
Connected financial account information. If Budget Nudge offers bank or financial-account connections and you choose to use them, we may receive information made available through the relevant financial-data or open-banking provider, subject to your authorization and that provider's terms.
Device and technical information. We may collect device type, browser, operating system, IP address, application activity, crash information, and security logs where reasonably necessary.

03 How We Use Information
We may use information to provide, maintain, personalize, secure, and improve Budget Nudge; authenticate users; synchronize authorized financial accounts; process and display transactions; calculate balances and goal progress; provide budgeting insights and notifications; troubleshoot technical problems; prevent fraud and abuse; communicate about the Service; comply with legal obligations; and develop aggregated or de-identified analytics where permitted by law and applicable consent requirements.
We do not treat your financial information as a general-purpose advertising database. Any use or sharing of financial information for purposes beyond providing the Service will be subject to applicable law, contractual restrictions, and required consent.
04 Financial Data and Connected Accounts
Budget Nudge may allow users to connect banks, wallets, or other financial accounts through third-party financial-data or open-banking providers. When you connect an account, you authorize the relevant provider to make the selected information available to Budget Nudge for the purposes you approve.
Budget Nudge does not guarantee that every bank, financial institution, account type, or transaction will be supported or synchronized without interruption. Financial data may be delayed, incomplete, incorrectly categorized, duplicated, or unavailable because of limitations or outages involving a third-party provider or financial institution.
Users should review the permissions presented during account connection and should only connect accounts they are authorized to access.
05 Transaction Categorization and Financial Insights
Budget Nudge may categorize transactions and generate summaries, forecasts, goal-progress calculations, or other financial insights. These outputs are designed to help users organize and understand their financial activity and may contain errors.
Budget Nudge is not a bank, broker, investment adviser, lender, insurer, accountant, or financial planner unless expressly stated otherwise. Insights are not individualized financial, investment, tax, legal, or credit advice.
06 Cookies and Similar Technologies
We may use cookies, local storage, session technologies, analytics tools, and similar technologies to maintain sessions, remember preferences, improve security, understand usage, and improve the product. Where required, we will provide appropriate choices or consent mechanisms.

We may also disclose information when required by law or legal process; to protect users or the Service; to investigate fraud or abuse; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or sale of the business or assets, subject to applicable law.
Where permitted by law, Budget Nudge may use aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify an individual for analytics, research, product development, benchmarking, and legitimate business purposes.
08 Advertising and Marketing
Budget Nudge may display advertisements, sponsored content, partner offers, or financial-product promotions. Such content will be identified appropriately where required. We do not promise that advertising or partner recommendations are suitable for a particular user.
Budget Nudge may receive compensation from partners when users interact with or purchase qualifying products or services, where permitted by law.

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain account records, meet legitimate business and security needs, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations. When information is no longer required, we may delete, anonymize, aggregate, or securely dispose of it, subject to legal and technical limitations.
10 Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and reporting suspected unauthorized access.

Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and request a copy of certain information. You may also have the right to complain to a competent data-protection authority.
